It feels so good to have the exams behind me! At least almost all of them. The last two days, I didn't do much other than sleep, hang out in cafés, go shopping and celebrate! Sounds as decadent as it feels! I have my energy again, so you can look forward to plenty of blogging material!

Jean Paul Gaultier FW 11/12 menswear
Unisex is so 2010. From my point of view unisex fashion is the bridge to overcoming clothing gender limitations. Nobody likes limits nowadays, designer even less. So unisex made it OK for men to wear a see-through tank top and tight jeans, because it was ALSO made for women. And the other way round of course. This leads to something greater though. When the market slowly got used to the idea of "men and women can wear the same clothes" then it is the right time to introduce mens wear (that looks like womens to our still oldfashioned brains) that is nevertheless an only male product.

I am working nonstop since tuesday. I have an important exam on monday and the only way I can finish all the projects, drawings and my dress is if I cut down sleep to the minimum of two hours daily. Sounds crazy, and my body thinks so too, but hey this is fashion school. I don't feel dead yet, and the hourly feelings of success give me energy! And thankfully Italy is the country with the best coffee!

Café Fernando is probably the coolest foodblog I know about. You should check it out!
Cenk has even been asked to make a recipe for Dolce&Gabbana for their new collection! Here is how he made it, and heeere how they present it in their online magazine swide.
I recommend you read everything, follow every link and also dont forget try one of his creations at home. I recommend the chocolate mousse in under 5 minutes!

This is the skirt of my dress so far, it's still hanging like wet hair .. but wait for the starch to see how it stands!
I have one week until the exam, so this week should be a busy one... No sleep for me! I am horrible at working in advance, and on top of it all a talented procrastinator. On the bright side: The less time I have the better I get!!
I wish y'all a really enjoyable week, and good luck to all my classmates!

"Love is when you can’t sleep at night because reality is better than your dreams."
"Love is like a catchy song that never leaves your head."
"I’m too young to know what love is."
"Love is unconditional, overwhelming, scary, unexpected, painful, and beautiful."
"Love is like riding on the short bus, it’s a bumpy ride, and it makes you feel retarded."

Ok, look what I found! There is this guy who is incredible talented at remixing sounds to make music. His current project is to create music from places all over the world, capturing their essence. It's exciting, he almost resembles the young Jean-Baptiste Grenouille in "The Perfume" mixing the perfect smells because his ingredients are so real, and not just flowers and herbs..
"In early 2010, I was honoured to be part of the Smirnoff Experience in South Africa. Having just started remixing the real world with my camera and microphone, I saw this as the perfect opportunity to make my first mix overseas. So, with the help of my good friend and manager Bryant Randall, we literally dashed through the streets of Johannesburg recording sounds and voices to put together my first project, Joburg Jam." AWW, don't you just adore those knit animals by Donna Wilson? I recognised the "rosiechicken" even in an fashion photoshoot, and if I wasn't stuck in so much work, I'd look for it to show it to you.
And here (found on flickr) you see Cyrill in action. I think it looks stylish..
